Welcome to Commonwealth Dermatology! We are excited to meet you and help you with your skin care needs. We are proud to be an independent, physician owned medical practice. Dr. Petrie founded Commonwealth Dermatology in 2016 with a mission to provide exceptional, individualized care to the greater Pittsburgh community. We also strive to be efficient, compassionate, and to give every patient a pleasant experience.
Commonwealth Dermatology has a special focus on skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. We offer skin cancer screenings because most skin cancers are easily treatable if caught early. Dr. Petrie has dedicated his career to the surgical treatment of skin cancer utilizing Mohs micrographic surgery, which provides the highest cure rate for most cancers. We also have a fantastic team of physician assistants (Alexxa, Brittany, and Jessica) who can expertly provide both skin cancer screenings and medical dermatology care.
